Licensed in Texas

Everything's bigger in Texas. Your plan should be too.

Texas families are building fast: new homes in growing suburbs, businesses of their own, and careers that move. Your coverage should keep up, and it should protect more than just a paycheck.

I'm licensed in Texas and work with clients across the state by phone and video. I specialize in indexed universal life (IUL) for families who want lifetime protection plus tax-advantaged cash value, and I also write mortgage protection, term life, final expense, and annuities. As an independent agent, I compare multiple carriers so you get the right fit.

One policy. Three ways it works for you.

Top IUL producers explain it in three parts, and so do I. Every indexed universal life policy protects your family, protects you, and builds wealth at the same time.

Death Benefit+Living Benefits+Cash Value=One IUL policy

Part I

Death Benefit

Protects your family

  • Lifetime coverage when the policy is funded properly
  • Paid to your beneficiaries, generally income-tax-free
  • Replaces income, pays off the home, funds a legacy

Part II

Living Benefits

Protects you while you're alive

  • Critical illness: heart attack, stroke, cancer
  • Chronic illness: help with daily living or care
  • Terminal illness: access much of the benefit early

Cash Value

Builds wealth you can use

  • Growth linked to a market index, up to a cap
  • 0% floor, so index credits never go negative
  • Tax-advantaged access through policy loans

Features, riders, and qualifying conditions vary by carrier, product, and state. Using living benefits or policy loans reduces the death benefit paid to beneficiaries. Cash value growth is subject to caps, participation rates, and policy charges.

Most people save in two buckets. The wealthy use three.

Your 401(k) and Roth IRA are great tools, but both have limits. Here's how an indexed universal life policy compares as a third, tax-advantaged bucket.

Simplified for illustration and not tax advice. IUL cash value growth is subject to caps, participation rates, and policy charges. Loans accrue interest and reduce the death benefit, and policies must be funded properly to avoid lapse or MEC status. Talk with a tax professional about your situation.

Questions

Texas questions.

You're based in Florida. Can you really help me in Texas?

Yes. I'm licensed in Texas, and most of my clients never meet me in person. We handle everything by phone or video with e-signatures, and I stay your agent for reviews and questions for life.

Texas has no state income tax. Does an IUL still make sense?

It can. Withdrawals from a 401(k) or traditional IRA are still subject to federal income tax, while IUL cash value can be accessed through policy loans that are generally income-tax-free when the policy is structured correctly. That third, tax-advantaged bucket is still valuable.

Can mortgage protection cover a new build in a Texas suburb?

Usually, yes. Coverage is based on you, not the property, so it can be sized to the mortgage you want protected, whether that's a new build in Katy or a home you've owned for years.
